ORLOFSBLAÐ EFLINGAR-STÉTTARFÉLAGS 5 Þegar Sveinn Ingvason, forstöðumaður orlofseigna Eflingar, tók stöðu á verkefninu þann 21. febrúar sl. var svo sannarlega mikið um að vera á svæðinu, fjöldi iðnaðar- og verkamanna á staðnum og unnu þeir vasklega að því að ljúka hinum ýmsu verkþáttum. Þau hús sem lengst eru komin er nú verið að mála að innan og utanhússfrágangi er að mestu lokið. Þrátt fyrir afar leiðinlegt tíðarfar í vetur og erfiðar aðstæður til byggingavinnu hefur verkið gengið vonum framar og allt samkvæmt áætlunum. Stefnt er að því að öll húsin sex verði afhent Eflingu fullbúin með innréttingum fyrir 1. júlí nk. Undir- búningur er þegar hafinn við að panta og kaupa inn húsgögn og húsbúnað þannig að vonir standa til að útleiga geti hafist síðsumars. Stjórn orlofssjóðs Eflingar hefur nú ákveðið að ganga til samninga um framhald verkefnisins, það er næsta sex húsa áfanga en alls mun orlofsbyggðin telja tólf hús eins og skipulag gerir ráð fyrir. Allur undirbúningur orlofssjóðs stend- ur til þess að hægt verði að hefjast handa við jarðvinnu þess áfanga í mars og upphaf byggingaframkvæmda verði í maí. Gangi allt eftir verður orlofshúsahverfið allt búið að taka á sig endanlega mynd í lok þessa árs. Óhætt er að segja að mikil eftirvænting og spenna sé meðal félagsmanna Eflingar fyrir þessum nýju húsum. Enda er um að ræða afskaplega góða staðsetningu með mikla þjónustu í grenndinni en ekki síður er útsýni frá húsunum einstakt og með því allra besta sem gerist. When Sveinn Ingvason, the manager of the vacation prop- erties of Efling, checked the status of the project on Febru- ary 21 st there was quite a lot going on in the area, numerous craftsmen and workers in place, working hard on concluding the various phases of the project. The houses furthest along now are being painted on the inside and external work on them is mostly done. Despite lousy weather this winter and difficult conditions for construction work, the project has moved along better than was expected and in accordance with the plans. The aim is to be able to present all six hous- es to Efling, complete with interior fixtures, before July 1st. Preparations are already underway for ordering and purchas- ing furniture and furnishings so there is hope that the rental process may begin late in the summer of this year. The board of the vacation fund of Efling has now decided to start negotiations for the continuation of the project, that is for the next six house phase in a cluster of twelve vacation houses, as was originally planned. The vacation fund’s entire prepara- tory effort goes into getting the ground work of that phase started in March and getting the construction work started in May. If all goes according to plan, the vacation house neighbor- hood will have taken shape by the end of the year. It’s fair to say that the members of Efling await these new houses with anticipation and excitement. They are very well located, with good services near at hand and yet the view from the houses is unique and among the very best available. The attached photos demonstrate this quite well, also indicat- ing clearly the status of the project.
